UAE- Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will monitor PPP caign for LB polls in Punjab

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Bilawal had left for Dubai early last week along with father Asif Zardari sister Assefa which followed the departure of his aunt Faryal Talpur.

Islamabad: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari reached Karachi from Dubai along with former interior minister Rehman Malik on Friday night.
According to party sources Bilawal will soon visit Punjab in order to monitor party preparations for the upcoming local government elections later this year.
Bilawal had left for Dubai early last week along with father Asif Zardari sister Assefa which followed the departure of his aunt Faryal Talpur.
Talking to newsmen after arriving at the Bilawal House Senator Rehman Malik said the PPP leadership had not fled the country as both former president Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had gone to Dubai to inquire about the health of veteran PPP leader Makhdoom Amin Faheem who has been seriously ill.
After the departure of both the central leaders baseless news reports were spread that the PPP leadership had fled their homeland he said adding that leadership of the party had the courage to face any tough situation.
The senator said that the PPP had always had complete respect and honour for the Pakistan army and it continues to show reverence for the national institution.
He said former president Asif Zardari would not take back his recent statement but he would give explanation on his statement whenever he was asked to explain. Malik said Zardari would return to the country and would leave again whenever he would like.
He said that Zardari had always eulogised services and sacrifices rendered by Pakistan army so his recent statement should not be aired after distorting it. To a question the PPP’s senator said that there was no plan in near future to change the Sindh chief minister as Qaim Ali Shah was duly chosen and elected for this office.
He said there was a threat to the life of Bilawal and in this regard the government was responsible for his security. The senator was of the opinion that the Sindh government could not be held responsible for the large number of causalities in Karachi during the recent heatwave as deaths had occurred due to natural calamity. He said the Sindh government could not be held responsible for shortage of electricity as provision of power supply was responsibility of the federal government.
