JAMMU, June 27: Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Jammu and Kashmir today organized “Yog Shikshak Samman”Samaroh in connection with National Programme to felicitate the people who are working in the field of Yog, exploring and teaching it among masses.
Jugal Kishore Sharma BJP State President & MP was the chief guest while Dr. Suresh Ajay Magotra State president BJYM chaired the programme.
Munish Sharma State general secretary, Yudhvir Sethi Prabhari BJYM, Rajesh Gupta district president Jammu East (MLA) also graced the occasion.
In his address Jugal Kishore Sharma appreciated the effort of Yog Shikshak who are selflessly working in Jammu and Kashmir to promote Yoga and on June 21 of this month, people of entire world adopted Yoga by celebrating this day as International Yoga Day.
“It’s the effort of Prime Minister Narendra Modi that Yoga has been recognized by the entire world and United Nations passed resolution for announcing June 21 as International Yoga Day”, he said, adding, ‘BJP will reach out to every nook and corner of the State to explore and promote Yoga and apprised the people about the Yoga for better and healthy life style”. He also appealed to youth to adopt Yoga for better life and healthy life style.
In his address, Dr. Suresh Ajay Magotra said that origin of Yoga was from Bharat and PM Narendra Modi made every citizen of nation feel proud by motivating more than 175 countries in UN to adopt Yoga. “Yog is art as well as Science to live better life. This is move towards making Bharat Vishav Guru. We must adopt Yoga especially youth in society and fight against social evils in society like drug addiction etc which is spoiling young generation. Yog is the only path to eradicate such evils”, he maintained.
In a crowded programme at Press Club about 18 dignitaries from the field of Yoga were awarded by State BJP President Jugal Kishore Sharma including Bansi Lal Bharti, State president Patanjali Yog Peeth, Shreyansh Kumar Jain, Dr. T.R. Raina, Trishula Gupta, Ritu Sharma, Renu Thapar, Sodagar Shah Gupta, Arun Pachnanda, Lal Singh Nag, Dr. Mohan Lal Gupta, Angrez Singh, Rameshwar Singh Jamwal, Ashok Kumar, Anil Raina, Sansar Chand, Muni Lal Gupta, Deepak Sharma and P.N. Jalla.
Tarun Sharma and Dr. Makson Tickoo managed the proceeding while Narendra Kotwal State vice president BJYM welcomed the gathering whereas vote of thanks was presented by State secretary BJYM Ishant Mahajan. Bharat Sharma, Karan Singh and others participated in the programme.
