MENDHAR, June 27: Deputy Commissioner Poonch today conducted a surprise visit of PHC Mankote where majority of the staff was found absent from duty.
Two Medical Officers among 13 employees were absent from duty when the Deputy Commissioner Nasir Ahmad Wani along with ADC Mohd Salim Malik visited the PHC while on way to Mendhar for a meeting. Only one Nursing Orderly, a driver and two people were on duty
Taking serious notice of the unauthorized absent of the employees, the Deputy Commissioner directed CMO Poonch to take necessary action against the erring officials.
Later, acting on the complaint of locals in Mendhar, the Deputy Commissioner also ordered sealing of two LPG agencies in the town.
