Though intermittent rains lashed parts of the district, the intensity was low on Saturday when compared with the last few days.
Shivamogga, Thirthahalli, Hosanagar, Sagar and some parts of Bhadravathi received scanty rainfall. In the last 24 hours, Thirthahalli recorded the highest rainfall of 20.2 mm, followed by Hosanagar-8.20mm, Sagar-6.8mm, Bhadravathi-4.2mm, Shivamogga taluk-3.4mm, Sorab-2mm and Shikaripur-0.8mm.
The water level in Linganamakki remained at 1768.90 feet against the maximum level of 1819 feet as catchment area of the dam received rain of 8.40mm. The inflow of water was at 13,051 cusecs.
