Dog in West Bengal gets I-card to take CET test!

West Midnapur resident Soumyadeep Mahato fears that he will not be able to sit for the exam as per schedule and might lose out a year because his photograph on the I-card was allegedly replaced with a dog's picture.

Someone allegedly replaced Soumyadeep Mahato's photo with a dog's picture on his admit card.

West Bengal student Soumyadeep Mahato's surprise turned into shock when he discovered that his photograph was allegedly replaced with a dog's picture on his admit card on Thursday.

Mahato, who is a resident of Goaltore village in West Midnapur district of West Bengal, fears that authorities may not allow him to enter the examination hall without a proper I-card and he may lose out a year because of the faux pas.

Mahato was to appear for a Common Entrance Test under West Bengal State Council for Vocational Training which is scheduled to be held on June 28, 2015.

The student belongs to a poor family and works as a mechanic in a local garage to make ends meet.

Recently, the director of the West Bengal's super-speciality SSKM Hospital, Dr Pradip Mitra, was summarily removed and demoted as Superintendent of the Sagar Dutta hospital at Barrackpore for allegedly disallowing dialysis of a dog belonging to a relative of Trinamool Congress MLA Nirmal Majhi at the hospital.
