Neither am I against banning political parties nor satisfied with judicial commission, says AML head

LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Awami Muslim League (AML) president Sheikh Rasheed has on Saturday said that democracy dances on the tunes of money in Pakistan. He said that he is not against banning political parties but expressed dissatisfaction about the judicial commission. He said that army is like a security guard, it shouldn’t take over the country, reported Dunya News.

Addressing an Iftar dinner in Lahore, Sheikh Rasheed said that rulers like Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif are bad luck for the country. He said that more than 1000 people lost their lives in Karachi but PM didn’t visit the city. He said that as Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif should leave his home and sit in Karachi.

Talking about the BBC report on Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), AML leader said that the allegations leveled at the MQM in this report are serious and the party must defend itself. He said that Karachi used to be Pakistan People’s Party’s (PPP) home turf but Co-Chairman PPP Asif Ali Zardari didn’t have the courage to go there and sent his son instead. Rahseed said that the circle around Asif Zardari is being tightened.

Sheikh Rasheed said that fake opposition is sitting in the parliament. He said that the army should hold the corrupt accountable and should also do accountability of the corrupt army officers.

Declaring both the ministers of water and power over power crisis, Sheikh Rasheed said that Khawaja Asif and Abid Sher Ali should resign. He said that Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan is an ally but he is still has his eyes fixed on everything.
