Karachi: Mohit Suri's latest direction 'Hamari Adhuri Kahani' has been adapted by the movie's producer, Mahesh Bhatt, and will be staged in Delhi on August 1, and then in Karachi.

The Bollywood director recently broke the news on Twitter by mentioning that he will soon be directing a project adapted from his recent production starring Emran Hashmi and Vidhya Balan, with the award winning National School of Drama (NSD) graduate, Happy Ranajit, and the Pakistani sufi rock band Raeth, the Dawn reported.

The 66-year-old helmer later added some more information, saying that Imran Zahid will be playing the lead role, who had earlier played characters pulled from real life situations, in the stage adaptations of Arth and Daddy.

Raeth guitarist Sunny Ghansham said he and his team have worked with Imran for a long time and previously worked on the music of his film, 'Marksheet', and now, ' Hamari Adhuri Kahani' will be an experience for them, as they will work with Bhatt and Imran.

It is a tragic love story of a rich hotelier Aarav (played by Emraan Hashmi in the film) and florist Vasudha (Vidya Balan) whose romance is cut short by the return of Vasudha's husband after a long and mysterious disappearance.
