Foundation stone of Moksh Dwaar laid

Before the proposed visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to his Lok Sabha constituency, Varanasi on June 28, BJP leaders laid the foundation stone of ‘Moksh Dwaar’ at Gyanvapi in Chowk area amid chanting of Vedic hymns by several priests and scholars on Friday.

VARANASI: Before the proposed visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to his Lok Sabha constituency, Varanasi on June 28, BJP leaders laid the foundation stone of ‘Moksh Dwaar’ at Gyanvapi in Chowk area amid chanting of Vedic hymns by several priests and scholars on Friday.
Anup Sarraf, who is associated with the ongoing construction work in Modi’s adopted Jayapur village, said that along with the construction of ‘Moksh Dwaar’ interlocking bricks will be laid in lanes and bylanes till the cremation ghat and proper light arrangements will also be made.
Furthermore, the bylane leading to Manikarnika Ghat will be beautified and coloured moulded power bricks will be laid there. The drainage system will also be fixed and wiring will be made underground for convenience of pedestrians.
Under the next phase, proper light arrangements will be made at Manikarnika Ghat along with the supply of adequate potable drinking water at the cremation site. As many as 16 new steel platforms will be raised at the ghat and advanced technology, which would use less wood, will be used for cremation.
