BHOPAL: Bed-sheets, rolls of cloth allegedly meant for stitching dresses of jail inmates, slippers, and even tiffin boxes which were allegedly meant for children of inmates, were recovered from the house of a former jail superintendent of Satna, on Friday.
Following orders of SDM, house of former jail superintendent Usha Raj was vacated, as she is under suspension for past seven months.

“I have written to SDM that goods recovered at her house should not be handed to her until and unless, bills relating to purchases are made available. Goods contain lots of jail material, maybe she would have purchased them, but in that case also she must be having the receipts,” incumbent jail superintendent Shefali Tiwari told TOI.
Meanwhile, Usha Raj denied the allegations saying, “I am not well and am undergoing treatment at Indore. My house was burgled in May and I made a police complaint also and since then I have not having the keys of my house. Anything can be kept there”.
“I am being targeted by some and have also approached CM helpline,” she said.
