Kyra in semifinals

Qualifier Kyra Shroff made the semifinals of the $10,000 ITF women’s tennis tournament in Grand Baie La Croisette, Mauritius, with a 6-2, 7-5 victory over seventh seed Jasmin Jebawy of Germany on Friday.

Snehadevi Reddy and Dhruthi Venugopal made the doubles final where they meet second-seeded South African Ilze Hattingh and Madrie Le Roux.

Doubles: Semifinals: Snehadevi Reddy & Dhruthi Venugopal bt Stamatia Fafaliou & Jasmin Jebawy (Ger) 6-1, 6-0; Ilze Hattingh & Madrie Le Roux (RSA) bt Prerna Bhambri & Tanisha Rohira 6-2, 6-0.
