No power
There will be no power supply to Kaup, Shirva, Mallaru, Bantakal, Uchila and nearby areas in Udupi district on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It is for maintenance works on the Manipal-Shirva power supply line, a MESCOM release said.
Stores at airport
A departmental chain store of clothing, cosmetics, footwear, home furnishings, hand bags, purses and decor products was opened in the domestic security hold area in the terminal building of Mangaluru International Airport on Friday. In addition, another shop of bags was opened in the domestic security hold area.
Applications invited
The Department of Backward Classes has invited applications for admission to its post-metric hostels for 2015-16. Those pursuing medical, engineering, nursing and other courses can apply through on-line. The last date to apply is July 19, a release said.
Convocation
University of Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences, Shivamogga will conduct its first convocation in October, 2015. Candidates eligible to receive degrees will have to apply before June 30. For details log on towww.uahs.in, a release said.
