Traffic would be stopped or diverted at some points between Karbala Maidan and Sailing Club from 8 p.m. on Saturday to Sunday midnight due to road re-carpeting work, said the traffic police.
Vehicles going from Karbala Maidan to Upper Tank Bund would be diverted at Budha Bhavan island towards Necklace Road. Those going from R.P. Road to Karbala Maidan-Upper Tank Bund would be diverted at Bible House towards Kawadiguda-Lower Tank Bund.
Traffic coming from Upper Tank Bund would be diverted at Sailing Club towards Kawadiguda crossroads. RTC buses would follow the diversions. RTC buses from districts and heavy vehicles coming from Jubilee Bus Station would be diverted towards YMCA junction-Sangeeth-Tarnaka-OU-Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station.
Same route would be followed while returning. Movement of vehicles from Jabbar Complex to Bible House would be unidirectional. Vehicles coming from Kawadiguda would be allowed towards Zeera lane-Karbala Maidan.
