Range level annual debate contest on Human Rights Violation held

JAMMU, June 26: Range Level Annual Debate Competition on Human Rights Violation was organized by RPHQ Jammu at District Police Lines.
The topic of the debate was “State Violation of Human Rights Escalates Violation rather than Control it”.
During the competition 23 police officers/officials participated, out of which 11 police officers/officials spoke in favour of motion and 12 against the motion.
Among the participants Sgct Sukhdev Singh of District Ramban, Ct Anil Ram of IR-Ist Battalion and Mohammad Sayeed Sr Prosecution Officer were declared as first, second and third respectively in favour of motion and Inspector JV Singh, Iftkhar Ahmed DySP Operation and PSI Rajveer Singh were declared first, second and third against the motion.
Rajnish Pran, SSP Staff Officer to DIG Jammu who supervised the proceedings of the debate competition on behalf of the DIG JSK Range said that such programmes are organized for the awareness of the police officers and Jawans about the Human Rights Violations.
Large numbers of police officers/officials were present on the occasion.
Ashok Sharma SSP PCR Jammu, Sunita Kargotra Chief Prosecuting Officer RPHQ Jammu, Anil Mangotra Chief Prosecuting Officer Jammu and Yashvir Singh DySP DAR DPL Jammu were the jury members on the occasion.
