A 23-year-old software engineer Nikhil Surywanshi is critical while his friend Neeraj Khatri(25) is injured after four people attacked them with knife in full public over a brawl after his motorcycle hit another bike in Gol Maidan area on Thursday night in Ulhasnagar.

ULHASNAGAR: A 23-year-old software engineer Nikhil Surywanshi is critical while his friend Neeraj Khatri(25) is injured after four people attacked them with knife in public over a brawl after his motorcycle hit another bike in Gol Maidan area on Thursday night in Ulhasnagar.
After the incident local NCP leader Omi Kalani son of MLA Jyoti Kalani chased main accused Dharamsingh Parihar (30) and handed him to local police while three others managed to escape from the spot.

Nikhil, a resident of Ulhasnagar, worked as engineer with Mumbai based company was on way alongwith Neeraj to have snacks at Mc Donald on Thursday night.
While Nikhil was riding motorcycle Neeraj was seating behind him as pillion rider.
Police said during driving due to sudden pothole on road, Nikhil applied break due to which speeding accused DharmeshSingh Parihar's motorcle hit to Nikhil's motorcycle.
Police said on getting dashed, Nikhil just asked Daramsingh to drive bike slowly but accused started argument with Nikhil which later turned in to heated argument.
During argument main accused Dharmeshsingh who was carrying knife with him attack Nikhil and Neeraj while his friend manhandled both in which Nikhil suffered serious injuries while his friend Neeraj also got injured.

The sources said incident happened in full public view on crowded road of city but no one from spot dared to nab accused but when NCP leader Omie Kalani son of MLA Jyoti Kalani learned about the incident who was in MLA office which was at few distance from spot immediately rushed on the spot and nabbed Dharmeshsingh along with his support while other his three accused friends managed to escape from the spot. Omie later handed accused to local Ulhasnagar police station.
After which public at spot rushed injured to Central hospital in Ulhasnagar where doctor claimed Nikhil's condition is critical while Neeraj is out of danger.
Kishor Jadhav, senior police inspector of Ulhasnagar police station said, "An attempt to murder case has been lodged against all four accused including main accused Dharmeshsingh who has criminal background with four to five criminals' cases against him".
The accused have also revealed about two other accused names out of three to whom police is likely to arrest very soon. The incident on busy road has shocked to locals.
