Embroiled in a Rs 206-crore anganwadi procurement scam, Women and Child Welfare Minister Pankaja Munde on Friday said she has done no wrong and if proved, she would not only quit the government but also politics.

“I shall not just resign, but quit politics permanently if I’ve taken even a rupee from anyone,” the daughter of late BJP veteran Gopinath Munde and niece of late Pramod Mahajan said in a blog and social media posts.

“I withstood the burden of loss of my father a year back. I’ve been carrying the burden of tremendous expectations of people since then. But, these baseless allegations have crossed all limits. I have done no wrong," she said.

“Till yesterday if you searched my name over google, you’d have found my quote (after father Gopinath Munde’s death) ‘I won’t cry but fight it out’. Today that has been changed to a person responsible for first ‘scam’ in the Fadnavis government,” she said sounding as one deeply hurt," he said, adding that she would not take things lying down and would fight it out politically.
