The Labour Commissioner, Vipra Bhal today visited the ESI Dispensary Khonmoh, to review its upgradation and modernization. She also visited the site proposed for Model Dispensary and Diagnostic Centre at SIDCO Industrial Estate, Khonmoh Srinagar for which 3 kanals of land have been allotted.
The MDDC at Khonmoh is slated to provide medical services including diagnostic facilities to the employees and will be the first of its kind in Kashmir. The Labour Commissioner also visited ESI (Employees State Insurance) Dispensary at Industrial Estate Bagh-e-Ali Mardan Khan to review its upgradation and modernization of the dispensary keeping in view the requirements of Insured Person under ESI Scheme.
Besides she also visited the site proposed for building of ESI Model Hospital at SIDCO Industrial Complex Ompora Budgam. Moreover she took stock of the situation wherein 30 kanals of land have been leased to Department of Labour and Employment for construction of ESI Model Hospital in Srinagar city which will cater to 80,000 IPs and their dependents under ESI Scheme.The ESI scheme covers 1.20 lakh employees in the State of J&K and the ESI Scheme is providing medical services to the employees and their dependents who are insured under the scheme at four dispensaries in Kashmir viz, Rangreth, Khonmoh, BAM Khan and Zainakote. The Hospital will be State of the art modern structure where secondary care services will be provided to IPs and will be the first of its kind in Kashmir.She was also accompanied by Administrative Medical Officer, ESI Scheme, Dr. Rehana Kausar and Assistant Labour Commissioner Srinagar, Mr. G.M.Khan.
