Visiting Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj met Nepal President Ram Baran Yadav at his residence on Thursday and discussed bilateral ties. In times of distress, the nearest neighbour helps first, relatives and friends come later, said Sushma Swaraj.

During the meeting, the Nepal President expressed gratitude for India’s swift and quick response following the devastating April 25 earthquake.

With the announcement of $1 billion loan and grant for Nepal’s reconstruction, India is the largest donor pledging the support for the post-quake recovery.IANS
