TGB gives solar lamps to 140 remote households

The Telangana Grameen Bank (TGB), Adilabad main branch, on Thursday distributed solar lamps to the 140 households of the remote Burnur village in Adilabad mandal. Officials also planted 400 fruit bearing trees in yards of the houses as part of the bank’s “Prati intiki pandla chettu,” solar deepam programme. Chief Manager of the branch T. Lakshmaiah, said farmers should try out inter cropping as a measure of improving yields and protecting soil fertility besides cultivating horticultural crops. ZP CEO G. Jitender Reddy and PD Mission for Elimination of Poverty in Municipal Areas, Rajeshwar Rathod also attended.
