Lawyer wanted for kids' murder could be in Odisha: Police
CHENNAI: The lawyer, who is the prime suspect in the murder of his two children in their apartment at Maduravoyal, could be in Bhubaneswar in Odisha, police said.
The decomposing bodies of Priyadarshini, 13, and Prabhu, 12, were found in their flat at a TNHB complex on June 3, while their father %K Ravi, who practises in the Poonamallee court, was seen going out of the apartment complex in his car on May 26.

Around 7am on May 30, police said, he was caught in the same car at a toll gate in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, by a CCTV camera. On June 9, he checked into a lodge in the Odisha capital Bhubaneswar and a little later, he withdrew money from an ATM in that city. Police said they also got visual grabs of Ravi from the Bhubaneswar railway station and that he vacated the lodge before a team could lay its hands on him.
He even booked a train ticket to Chennai in his name. However police found that the K Ravi booked on the train was an official from the Kerala education department. Ravi had separated from his wife Maheshwari, a lawyer practising in the Poonamallee court, more than a year ago and the children remained with him.
Maheshwari told police that when she called Ravi on May 26 to wish their daughter on her birthday, he told her unless she helped pay off his debts he would kill their kids and disappear.
