Boa gets solo show at Sejong Center

테스트

youngest female pop singer to hold solo concert at Sejong Center.

“Boa is planning to celebrate the 15th anniversary of her debut by holding concert at Sejong Center on Aug. 22 and 23,” according to the 28-year-old’s talent agency, SM Entertainment.

The musician’s feat is astonishing in that Sejong Center usually does not open its doors to pop singers, especially to idol stars in their 20s. So far, only first-generation boy groups such as H.O.T. and Sechs Kies have experienced performing at the venue when their popularity was gaining momentum in the ’90s.

Some of the veteran musicians who were allowed to hold a concert at the Sejong Center include Patti Kim, Lee Mi-ja and Shin Seung-hun.

Boa last performed a solo concert in Korea in 2013 at Olympic Park in southeastern Seoul.

Since the singer made her first public appearance in 2000, she has been building her career as a singer. Boa is renowned for her singing ability and dancing skills, all of which played crucial roles in keeping her popularity throughout the 15 years of her career.

The soloist recently released her 8th album, “Kiss My Lips,” in May, which was highly praised in both Korea and other countries, including the United States.
