Last year, a group of youngsters surprised every one with the acceptance they received for their maiden venture, Ithihasa .
The group is teaming up once again for Style , directed by Binu S.
The shooting of Style is going on at Kochi and the location for the day is a coffee shop set right outside a complex in Panampilly Nagar. Unni Mukundan and Priyanka Kandwal are sitting face-to-face at one of the tables, with a young boy for company.
“This movie is a romantic comedy with a little bit of action in it. Tom (Unni Mukundan) is a youth who is into car styling. He has a younger brother, Jerry (Ilhan, who played the young Dulquer Salmaan in Vikramadityan ), who is 15 ears younger to him. The heroine is Diya (Priyanka Kandwal), a postgraduate in business management,” says Binu.
In the scene being filmed, Tom is on his way back after taking Jerry for a painting competition. “The duo stops at a coffee shop where they bump into Diya. They have met only once before,” adds Binu. So, has life changed for them after the success of Ithihasa ?
“We were overwhelmed by the response for the film. Although there are high hopes for our second film, we are not concentrating on that right now. We have received offers to remake Ithihasa in Tamil; we may consider that offer after the shoot of Style is over,” he says.
Unni says he is glad to play a lovable youth. “Like most men my age, I am fascinated with cars and bikes. In this film, I am playing a mechanic who runs a high-end garage. I get to drive some flashy cars in the movie,” says the actor who is looking forward to the release of Muhsin Parari’s KL 10 Pathu. Priyanka, a model–turned–actor, says her character Diya, is a “girl of today, who is full of life and believes that a girl is no way lesser than a boy.”
Style is being produced by Rajesh Augustine under the banner of ARK Media. Sinoj P. Ayyappan is the cinematographer and Jassie Gift is the music director. The cast includes Vijayaraghavan, Rajeev Pillai and Balu.
