Soni Razdan's Love Affair, a fictionalised version of the infamous Nanavati murder case of 1959, was supposed to go on the floors in March. READ: Richa Chadha's body training sessions for Cabaret However, Mirror has now learnt that the period drama featuring
Kalki Koechlin,
Gulshan Devaiah and
Ali Fazal, will now only roll in November as producer
Pooja Bhatt is currently busy with the Richa Chadha-starrer
Cabaret.
Confirming this, Pooja says, "Rumours flying around that the film has been shelved are absolutely false.
I don't know why but after
Bombay Velvet failed, 'period' has become like a bad word. When we Bhatts commit to a film we always make it. Yes, earlier we were supposed to start shooting in March but now our first priority is finishing
Cabaret before the monsoons sweep in as people don't like shooting in the rain. We will start filming
Love Affair in November and intend to finish it by February-March 2016."
Love Affair, directed by Soni Razdan, is about a woman, played by Kalki, who is in an extra-marital affair. "She is stuck between the man she is married to and her lover who makes her feel like a woman again. It might be set in a different time zone but even if I decide to make it a contemporary film, the story will remain the same. It's the story of many women even today," asserts Pooja, adding, "I'm determined to make
Love Affair."
