The Andhra Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) has introduced a new facility of online application for student bus passes.
Students applying for APSRTC bus passes can log in at the website www.apsrtcpass.in and submit their applications online.
Once they open the site, the students would need to fill the columns with details like SSC examination board, year of passing, date of birth, personal details and residential address.
The students would also need to fill the details of their colleges and the routes.
Every student who fills in their details would get a MR number, a sort of identity number, which they need to show at the RTC bus pass counter.
The RTC staff will enter the numbers and the details of the student pops up on the screen, simplifying the process of issuing pass.
RTC Guntur Regional Manager G. Srihari said that the new facility was introduced this year to enable students fill the application online and save precious time. The RM said a meeting of all depot managers, technical staff and mechanical staff is being held at H.H Deichmann Auditorium on the premises of Acharya Nagarjuna University on Sunday. Staff would be motivated to achieve zero per cent losses in the Guntur Region, he said.
