After singing in more than 20 regional languages, Bollywood singer Alka Yagnik will now sing for a Rajasthani film titled Truck Driver, which is currently being shot in Mumbai.
Being directed by Rajasthani filmmaker Mukesh Tak, the film is an action-romance drama, and Yagnik has just recorded a romantic number, 'Mann ri bheet bheet sajna ban gayi tasveer thari', for it. When asked about her experience, the singer said, “I am happy as well as amused, because even after rendering my voice to various regional films, Rajasthani cinema was still left.
I am in awe of such a sweet language and this song endorses the fact. In my career spread over three decades, I have sung for various regional films, but I am singing for a Rajasthani film for the first time.”

The makers wanted the film to attract new-age film buffs from the state, be it in terms of content or artistes or music. The director says, “We want more and more young Rajasthani viewers to be attracted towards regional films, and music is one of the major crowd pullers. There are no takers for B-grade low budget films. Keeping this in mind, we roped in Alkaji, who is such a versatile singer. She loved recording the song and will be tracking how it does.”
