D. Manjunath and four other Congress party workers have been nominated to the Mandya City Municipal Council (CMC) on Wednesday.
According to an order issued by Siddique Pasha, Under Secretary to the Urban Development Department, the State Government has nominated D. Manjunath of KEB Colony, A. George Mohan Kumar of Christian Colony, Somashekar of Subhash Nagar, Rafi Ulla of V.V. Layout and K.N. Deepak of Gandhi Nagar to the CMC.
The Government has nominated them under the Karnataka Municipalities Act 1964, CMC Commissioner N.M. Shashikumar told The Hindu .
