Over 95 per cent of those employed at Mahindra & Mahindra’s Zaheerabad automotive plant are from Telangana, Executive Director Pawan Goenka said here on Tuesday.
Of this 90 per cent are from this district, asserted the senior executive of the $16.9 billion Mahindra Group. He was responding to a query from presspersons, at the national roll out of M&M’s new small commercial vehicle Jeeto, from the plant located in Medak district.
President and CEO (Automotive) Pravin Shah added that the headcount went up by 350 with the recent capacity expansion of the plant and is expected to increase as ramp up of Jeeto happens. The capacity of the plant is 92,000 units.
