Camera catches cops celebrating Charleston shooter’s arrest

Dash camera videos released Tuesday show Shelby, North Carolina, police officers fist-bumping as they arrest the racist gunman who slaughtered nine people in a church in Charleston, South Carolina.

Footage shows officers approaching Dylan Roof’s black Hyundai Elantra just moments after pulling him over in Shelby on June 18. One officer has his gun drawn as he approaches Roof’s window, while another puts his weapon back in his holster.

Roof calmly gets out of his car, and the officers frisk him. He’s then handcuffed and walked over to a squad car.

A few of the cops share high-fives and fist bumps to celebrate the arrest, which came about 240 miles north of the scene of the massacre at Emanuel AME Church.
