Denotifying land for public use not wrong: BSY

Former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa said on Tuesday that the State government was hatching a conspiracy against him by slapping false cases.

But he would not be cowed down by any such efforts, the BJP national vice-president said. Yeddyurappa was speaking to reporters in the town. He said that the cases of murder and extortion had increased in the State, after the Congress came to power.

The former chief minister said that there was nothing wrong in denotifying land in the interests of the public and that the government was resorting to politics of vengeance by registering cases against him. All previous chief ministers had denotified land, Yeddyurappa said.
