IRB extension for business income taxpayers

PUTRAJAYA: The submission of Income Tax Return Form (ITRF) and payment of tax payable for assessment year 2014 for individuals with business income (Form B, BT, M and MT) has been extended to no later than July 15, said the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRBM).
It said in a statement today that however the extension only applied to taxpayers who declared their taxes via e-Filing.
"For manual (paper form) submission, the date for submission and payment of tax payable remains on June 30," it said.
In order to assist taxpayers with business income to submit their forms on time, IRBM would be issuing an email beginning July 1 to remind them on this.
"Taxpayers will receive an email from no_reply@hasil.gov.my informing that they have yet to complete and submit their income tax return form via the e-Filing service," it said. – Bernama
