Though he is busy planning his next directorial venture, Har Har Byomkesh, the actor in Arindam Sil has far from taken a backseat. He is part of a short film, Protidaanhin (Unrequited), to be directed by Avishek Ghosh.
It also features Priyanka as the female lead. What's more, director Sujoy Ghosh, also a friend of Avishek, is helping him with the project.

Said the excited debutant director, who has helmed the production of Bharate starring Rituparna Sengupta, This is my first directorial project. I wanted to make a short before a full-length feature film. Like always, I shared the concept with Sujoy , who helped me with the screenplay . He has made it edgier by suggesting some pertinent changes. Incidentally, we had developed Bharate from his concept. The film, a human drama, is set in a psychiatrist's chamber. While Arindam Sil plays the psychiatrist, Priyanka will essay the character of his patient. The short film is an interaction between the two. Said Arindam, It's an interesting subject and the drama unfolds through a conversation between the doctor and his patient." Priyanka too is no less excited about the venture. Avishek, who wants to take the short film to festivals in India and abroad, will shoot today in Kolkata.
