Kourou: A YouTube video showing a stowaway cat's flight journey through the skies of French Guiana has gone viral.
The video shows a cat perched on to a light plane's wing, struggling to hold on to the frame for its dear life as the startled pilot and his female co-passenger try to remain calm after realising that they had a third fellow passenger on board – a cat out of the blue.
The video posted by pilot Romain Jantot, was taken during a flight at aviation school Club ULM in Kouroi, French Guiana.
The video titled “Remove cat before flight” shows how after a minute into the flight, the pilot looks up and finds a black and white feline clinging to the frame of plane's wing, very close to his female co-passenger.
The cat successfully managed to hold on to the wing till the pilot landed the plane. The video shows the cat jumping off the wing after the pilot tries to get it down after the plane's touch down.
According to the video caption, the cat that enjoyed the plane ride is the aviation club's mascot.
The caption in the video, written in French, translates to "Routine maiden flight until ... the importance of looking into the wings before each flight.
"For your information the cat is fine - it continues with its role as club mascot."
