84 Gujarat University colleges shifted to Shri Govind Guru varsity

GU vice-chancellor MN Patel said that these colleges have been transferred to the newly-formed Shri Govind Guru University being set up at Godhra.

The Gujarat University has “de-affiliated” 84 colleges falling in five districts of Mahisagar, Dahod, Chhotaudepur, the Panchmahals and Vadodara rural, with effect from the current year.

GU vice-chancellor MN Patel said that these colleges have been transferred to the newly-formed Shri Govind Guru University being set up at Godhra.

Patel said that transferring such a huge number of colleges to a new university would reduce the burden on the GU, particularly with regard to conducting admissions and examinations.
