Revealed: Torino waited two years for Afriyie Acquah move
22.06.2015 LISTEN

Afriyie Acquah's move to Torino has been a long time waiting for the Serie A club, Allsports.com.gh has been exclusively told.

Acquah penned a 4-year deal with the Turin side on Friday ending his marriage with German Bundesliga side, Hoffeinheim.

Before signing for Torino however, Acquah had been linked with a host of other Serie A clubs including AS Roma and AC Milan but according to the player's agent, Torino have kept an eye on the 23 year old Ghanaian for a long time.

In fact, it was Torino who lost out to Sampdoria during the January transfer window when Acquah transferred from Parma, another club he spent time at on loan.

"Torino have been waiting for this move since two years, they were very disappointed when the player opted for Sampdoria on loan," Agent Oliver Arthur revealed.

Deeply pleased with the opportunity at @TorinoFC_1906. Grateful to @palermocalcioit @ParmaFC @achtzehn99 & @sampdoria http://t.co/UmHJumzvKT — Afriyie Acquah (@AcquahAfriyie20) 2013-07-22 14:22:09.0
