Two arrested with 7,980 liquor bottles

Veraval: Officials of the state monitoring cell seized 7,980 bottles of Indian-made foreign liquor (IMFL) and arrested two persons for the offence.
The officials said, following a tip-off that two bootleggers were coming from Diu with a cache of IMFL bottles they kept a watch and made the seizure.
"The bootleggers were intercepted in their cars near Diu's border with Una.They have been identified as Yasin Badshah and Irfan Shahdar, both residents of Una. Apart from the liquor cache, we have also seized the car used in the crime," said an official.
