‘International Yoga Day’ celebrated in Bidar

Bhgawant Khuba, MP, inaugurated the International Yoga Day by performing 'Asanas' in the Nehru Stadium in Bidar on Sunday.

He called on the public to make yoga a daily habit to remain healthy and content. Over 500 students, teachers and youth participated.

Raghunath Malkapure, MLC, Mallikarjun Khuba, MLA, P.C. Jaffer, Deputy Commissioner, Sharat B., ZP Chief Executive Officer, Sharada Sambrekar, district AYUSH officer, and others were present.

Bhagyashree Kharatmol and Sagar Rajole, students from Bhagat Singh School, Humnabad, won applauses for performing difficult 'asana' poses in the Rang Mandir later.

Yoga day was celebrated in schools and colleges across the district.

Sri Jyotirmayananda Swami of Ramakrishna-Vivekananda Ashrama inaugurated the event in Gnyana Sudha Vidyalaya. Sri Basavalinga Pattaddevaru spoke at the event in Sri Channabasava Gurukul in Karadyal. Students of Sri Dattagiri Maharaj school performed Asanas in the presence of their parents.
