Coolpad Dazen 1, the budget smartphone from the Chinese smartphone firm, is getting a price cut in India. CoolPad Dazen 1 will now cost Rs 5999 instead of Rs 6999.
CoolPad announced the price-cut to celebrate the sales of 5 million handsets worldwide. The CoolPad Dazen 1 and Dazen X7 smartphones are available on Snapdeal and users have to pre-register to buy them.
Coolpad says it has seen over 1 lakh registrations for the Dazen 1 and users who had logged in for today’s sale got the phone at a special price of Rs 5,999. The company will also be giving Snapdeal credits to the customers who bought the smartphone.

Dazen 1 runs on a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, 2GB RAM and 8GB internal storage (expandable via microSD). It has an 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 5 megapixel front camera.
The Dazen 1 runs Android 4.4.4 with the CoolUI on top of it as well. Out of the 8 GB version, around 4.0 GB is free for users.
Dazen 1 has 2500mAh battery and will be available in grey and white colours. The Dazen 1 is priced at Rs 5999, which makes it a Rs 1000 less than Xiaomi Redmi 2 budget device. This is a dual-SIM, 4G LTE smartphone.
As we said in our review of the Dazen X1, this CoolPad smartphone gives serious competition to the Xiaomi Redmi 2.
What impressed us was the performance and the Dazen 1’s is at par with most other smartphones in this price range. The front 5 MP selfie camera comes with a beautification meter which can be adjusted as needed.
