Two persons were arrested by the special police team in connection with the brutal murder of Paul Jebadoss, a retired headmaster, on June 2 evening near Velladichivilai.
He was found murdered on the bund of a pond at Velladichivilai near here on June 3.
Paul Jebadoss and his wife Ranjitha Bai, a childless couple, were living alone at Kalungadi. He left home on the evening of June 2 and did not return. His body was found on the pond’s bund the next day.
On suspicion, the special police team took a local bike mechanic Mubash (20) and his associate Surya alias Thalapathi Surya (24) of Kottar into custody. The duo had confessed to have committed the crime for money.
They were produced before a local court and remanded in judicial custody, police sources said.
