Anuj upsets Harsh, enters final

AHEMADABAD: Nine-year-old Anuj Joshi of Delhi Public School, Bopal stuns top-seeded and Gujarat No. 1 Harsh Patel in the cadet boys semifinal in the ongoing 1st Open Ahmedabad Ranking Table Tennis Tournament 2015 held at St. Xavier’s High School Loyola Hall. Joshi defeated Patel 11-8, 8-11, 11-4, 11-8, 12-10. The tournament is held under the aegis of the Table Tennis Association of Ahmedabad (ad hoc Committee).
In the other semifinal 3rd seed Krishang Shah defeated 2nd seed Vachan Shah 11-4, 12-10, 11-7. In cadet girls final Mahek Shah will take on Krisha Soni. In the sub-junior boys final Dhairya Parmar will face his practice partner Chitrax Bhatt and in the sub-junior girls final Kausha Bhairepure and Yashvi Shah have made it to the title round.
