Pre-monsoon started in KP, Islamabad and Upper Punjab, weather pleasant after cool wind

ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Heavy rains in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Mianwali have on Saturday made the weather pleasant as cool wind started to blow after the showers. Pre-monsoon rains have started in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa (KP), Islamabad and Upper Punjab according to Met department, reported Dunya News.

According to the details, weather has become pleasant after several sunny days as heavy showers in various cities of KP, Upper Punjab and Islamabad, lighting up the faces of the fasters. Showers were observed in Mianwali, Quaidabad, Kalwar Kot, Dawood Khel and Kundian.

In Sargodha, first there was a duststorm and heavy rain took over the dust afterwards. There were rains in Gujrat, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Daska and Bhambar as well.

In KP, rains were observed in Swat, Lower Dir, Karak, DI Khan, Haripur and Hangu.

Strong winds kept blowing in Lahore throughout the day, bringing the temperature down to 37 degrees.

Met department informed that the pre-monsoon rains are expected to continue till Thursday. Showers are expected during these days in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Multan, Peshawar, Hazara Division, Kashmir, Zhob and Sibbi as well.
