Rajkot's missing engineering student found from Mumbai

The 24-year-old computer engineering student, Somel Vadiya, who had gone missing on Wednesday afternoon, was found in Mumbai on Thursday evening.He is enrolled in R K College at Tramba on the outskirts of the city.

RAJKOT: The 24-year-old computer engineering student, Somel Vadiya, who had gone missing on Wednesday afternoon, was found in Mumbai on Thursday evening. He is enrolled in R K College at Tramba on the outskirts of the city. His father Gulam Hussein had reported him missing.
Sources said that Somel, a resident of Nehrunagar on Raiya Road, had left his residence on Wednesday to attend his viva-voce at R K College but did not return.

"Somel was found at Juhu Chowpatti in Mumbai on Thursday evening. He called up his father from someone's mobile and informed that he was abducted by three persons in a car from near his college and made to inhale a substance that made him unconscious. When he woke up he was at Chowpatti. One of his relatives is bringing him back to Rajkot," said a police official.
Somel's father Gulam Hussein works in a chartered accountants firm at Limda Chowk and his mother Mumtaz is a school teacher in Municipal School number 90 in Gandhigram area.
His family had told the police that Somel had told his friends that two unidentified persons were following him three days ago near Trikon Baug.
