States trade charges

Mr. Vidyasagar Rao has said that the meeting did not go into the Palamaru – Ranga Reddy and Nakkalagandi lift-irrigation schemes proposed by Telangana and Pattiseema project taken up by Andhra Pradesh for the benefit of Anantapur and Chittoor though both States traded charges on them.

Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao who had recently laid foundation stones for Palamuru – Ranga Reddy and Nakkalagandi projects had even demanded Andhra Pradesh to compensate to Telangana for the diversion of Godavari water to Krishna basin by the Pattiseema.
