T. Keerthi Balan, native of Meeknakshipuram here, is the topper in the engineering rank list released by Anna University on Friday. Eleven persons in academic stream and four in vocational stream got 200 out of 200 in the cut-off marks for admission to engineering colleges in theState. Balan studied Plus Two in Vidya Vikas Matriculation Higher Secondary School at Tiruchengodu.
He scored 1,185 marks in the public examination, with centum in Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Computer Science. He plans to take up Mechanical Engineering.
