Bablu guides GCC to register 76 runs win over VNCC in inaugural tie

JAMMU, June 19: The magnificent batting performance by Bablu guided Gole Cricket Club (GCC) to register 76 runs win over Vijay Nagar Cricket Club (VNCC) in the inaugural tie of the 3rd Jammu Tawi Summer T-20 Cup, being organized by Jammu Tawi Sports Cricket Club at GGM Science College ground, here today.
Earlier, batting first, after winning the toss, GCC set a target of 166 runs for eight wickets, which, in reply, VNCC failed to chase and got bundled out at 90 runs for all out.
Bablu played brilliant innings of 75 runs which came of 57 deliveries. Dheeraj added 26 runs and Love contributed with 17 runs.
From VNCC side, Avinash and Rahul scalped 2 wickets each, whereas Shubham took 1 wicket.
Later, VNCC failed to chase the total and were bundled out at 90 runs for all out in 18 overs. Shubham scored 24 runs, whereas Karanjeet and Anil made 12 and 7 runs respectively.
From GCC side, Ajay and Sandeep took three wickets each, followed by Bablu, who scalped one wicket.
Bablu of GCC was declared  as man of the match.
The opening match was officiated by Surinder and Inderaj as umpires while Sahil acted as scorer.
Earlier, the tournament was declared open by former Deputy Mayor Dharamvir Singh Jamwal, who was chief guest. Among others present were Ankush Abrol, Ajay Dogra, Ashwin and Shashi Paul, Organizing secretary.
