The Swiss Leaks investigation by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ), in partnership with The Indian Express, received a top prize at the Global Editor’s Network Data Journalism Awards on Thursday.

The Indian Express team of reporters, led by Executive Editor (News and Investigation) Ritu Sarin, and assisted by Appu Esthose Suresh, investigated the names and account details of 1,195 Indian clients of the Swiss arm of HSBC, roughly double the 628 names that French authorities had given to the Indian government in 2011.
