MANGALURU: Customs officers attached to Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) at Kenjar near here have seized 20,000 Saudi Arabian riyals (Rs 3.52-lakh) in various denominations from Jafar Sadique Chala Mohammed Kunhi, a resident of Vidyanagar post office in Kasargod.
Jafar did not have valid money exchange documents for the same, customs officials said.

This is third such incident reported at MIA since May. Customs officials had on May 24 seized 12,500 Saudi Arabian riyals, 7,755 UAE dirhams, 50 Kuwait dinars and 400
Qatar riyals equivalent to Rs 3,75,023 from Mohammed Ali Pallikunhi hailing from Mogralputhur in Kasaragod.
On May 20, they seized 6,600 British pounds equivalent to Rs 6,49,400 from Muhammed Salih Yarool, 36, and Muhammed Ashraf Abdulla, 35, both hailing from Pallikere in Kasargod.
