Chairperson PWWA inaugurates medical awareness camp

SRINAGAR, June 18: Reaching out to the families of police personnel, the Srinagar Police Hospital today undertook door-to-door health awareness campaign at Police Housing Colony Zewan.
Chairperson, Jammu and Kashmir Police Wives Welfare Association (PWWA), K Vijaya Rajendra inaugurated the day-long medical awareness camp.
The team of doctors and paramedical staff with diagnostic equipment conducted on the spot medical treatment and different tests of the patients.
During the camp large number of patients were treated and provided required medicines and medical assistance. Various diagnostic tests were conducted and the doctors advised the patients about the importance of regular medical checkups for maintain the health.
Earlier, while inaugurating the camp, Vijaya Rajendra advised the families of police personnel that frequent medical checkups are necessary to maintain the health properly. She said that doctors of police hospitals are treating the families of police parivar at the hospitals in twin capital cities viz Srinagar and Jammu. The PWWA has decided to provide the medical treatment and health awareness to the police families at their doors steps, she added.
