PEW to auction seized vehicles on June 25

The Prohibition Enforcement Wing (PEW) would be auctioning vehicles seized by it in various cases.

The vehicles include 32 two-wheelers and six four-wheelers (Ford Icon, Mahindra Xylo, Maruthi Swift, Scorpio, 407 Van and Maruthi Omni) seized by it over a period of time.

The auction will be held at the Police Training School inside the Fort here from 9 a.m. onwards on June 25.

According to a note from the Superintendent of Police, Vellore district, those desirous of participating in the auction would have to pay an entry fee of Rs.50, upon which they would be allowed to see the vehicles and bid for them.

Those who want to bid in the auction would have to pay the bid amount along with 14.5 per cent sales tax.

A receipt would be given to them. This receipt would be treated as the vehicle ownership document of those who were successful in the bid.
