DAP's statement was confusing, says Fauzi Yusoff

GEORGE TOWN: The newly appointed PAS Penang commissioner Muhammad Fauzi Yusoff has described DAP central executive committee resolution that Pakatan Rakyat (PR) ceased to exist as confusing.
This, he said, was because PR comprises of three political parties and it was quite weird for DAP to issue a statement without consulting those in the coalition.
"If Lim Guan Eng has the intention to quit from the pact, it is logical and in line with his position as the party secretary-general," he said in a statement today.
He said at the moment Penang PAS relationship with Penang state PKR is normal and there is no problem in running the administration in an efficient way for the benefit of the people.
He also urged all parties to understand PAS' stance on the motion during the recent muktamar and stressed it was made under the power of Ulama Council.
"We have to be patient and obey with the decision that will be made soon," he said.
He also expressed hope that all the problems faced by the party will be resolved soon so as to move forward.
Muhammad Fauzi is the Balik Pulau PAS division chief who recently replaced Mohammad Sabu as the PAS Penang commissioner after the party muktamar last June.
He is believed to be from the pro-ulama group which has wiped all the progressive leader in the PAS leadership.
