Chairpersons of four standing committees of BCC elected

The chairpersons of all the four Standing Committees of the Belagavi City Corporation were elected unanimously here on Tuesday.

The elections to the committees were presided over by Mayor Kiran K. Sayanak. Deputy Mayor Meena Rayman Vaz was present. Two of the committees are headed by women members.

The chairpersons elected are Sanjyot Sunil Bandekar (Ward No.36) - Standing Committee for Taxation, Finance & Appeals and Maya Vinod Kadolkar (Ward No.32) - Standing Committee Public Health, Education & Social Justice. Vijay Krishnaji Bhonsale and Shivarai Ramachandra Kudachankar were elected as chairmen of the Standing Committee for Town Planning & Improvement and Accounts, respectively.
