After years of togetherness with "Twilight" co-star Robert Pattinson and the subsequent heartbreak that came after she was caught on camera cheating on him with her "Snow White and the Huntsman: director Rupert Sanders, it appears Kristen Stewart has had enough with the members of the opposite sex. Based on her mom's recent revelation, it appears K-Stew has turned to a member of femme-dom for love and companionship.
In an interview with Sunday Mirror, Jules Stewart, the actress' mother, said that her daughter is indeed in a relationship with her personal assistant Alicia Cargile and that she has already given the couple her blessing.
"What's not to be accepting about her now having a girlfriend? She's happy," Mrs. Stewart revealed.
"She's my daughter, I'm just her mom so she knows I would accept her choices," she went on to say. "I've met Kristen's new girlfriend, I like her. What's not to accept? She's a lovely girl."
"I feel like people need to be free to love whoever they want. I accept my daughter loves women and men. It's OK to be who you are in my world. We all choose our friends so we should be free to choose our lovers," she shared further.
"People are good to do whatever they like as long as they're not hurting people or breaking the law," she added. "I have gay friends, family members, I'm accepting of people, we are all free to choose who we want to love."
This revelation came two years after the 25-year-old's final split from longtime love R-Patz, who is reportedly engaged to his girlfriend FKA Twigs. It's been alleged that he will invite his former love to his own wedding.
Mrs. Stewart touched on the actress' romantic episode with R-Patz, saying that it was sad the couple then didn't have much privacy during their relationship. However, she also qualified that she's still young and that she should "have a lot more life experience before she chooses someone to settle down with."
Kristen and Alicia were rumored to be an item months back. They had been observed spending holidays together and were even photographed being "touchy feely" with each other, as noted by MailOnline. However, this came after K-Stew was rumored to be dating Jennifer Lawrence's ex, Nicholas Hoult.
Judging by how things turned out, it appears that the "Equals" co-stars are really just friends.
